Training & Conformation
Tramp has completed all three of our pre-rider training levels and currently training in Saddle 1: Elementary Saddle.
As a weanling she was introduced to halter training, grooming, hoof care, oral worming, and learned to enjoy human contact.
From her yearling year to three years old she was kept in a herd setting most of the time. During her third year she was trained all of the basics for pre-rider training, this included practicing catching, leading and tying skills, de-worming, hoof trimming, spending time in a box stall and learning to relax out of the heard setting. Before saddle training Tramp was trained to ground drive, lung, accept a saddle on her back and trailer load.
During Saddle 1: Elementary Saddle training Tramp has learned the basics of carrying a rider on her back. This included standing during mounting and dismounting; following voice and leg ques to go forward, back and stop; turning both ways; traveling and transitioning through the walk trot and lope.
What you need to know
Little Bit Nimble (Tramp) is a very friendly, outgoing and athletic young mare. We started Tramps training a little earlier than planned simply because she always met us at the gate and begged to be caught every time we went near her paddock. Tramps enthusiasm for participating in the training program characterizes this keen, pretty mares personally and attitude. She has an energetic can do attitude that is great. She loves to be in the middle of things and given her choice would live in the ally way or anywhere that involved her in the action.
To go with her willing attitude she has well balanced conformation with a refined head and neck, high wither and long strong hip. She is athletic and knows how to use herself. Tramp has everything it takes to make it in a competitive sport or to be that perfect pleasure horse that is thrilled when you show up for a ride. She is not afraid of work and tries hard when she is given a job. She likes to be fussed over and appreciated and knows how to do the same for you in return.
